Let me introduce myself. My name is Mimi. By day, I work as a database programmer in the IT department of the University of South Florida. By night, I'm a freelance web designer. My background is in IT. I have an MIS degree from the University of South Florida, and I published my first site back in 1997. Since then, I haven't stopped designing. I love to combine design elements to create an aesthetically pleasing site where colors blend well, the layout is easy on the eyes, and the pages are informational and easy to follow. I also make sure that there are no typos anywhere on the site - this may sound obvious, but in this day and age, typos are all too common. I hand code all my pages, so you're sure to get a unique site, not one that comes from a premade or preformatted template. I use Notepad and UltraEdit to code the pages. For graphics, I rely on my favorite program, Paint Shop Pro. I am able to keep costs down by not doing complex programming, scripting, flash, or database driven sites. Web design is something I enjoy doing, so I do it all myself. I never outsource my web work. It's all made right here in sunny Tampa, FL.
